- How do I add the WhatsApp chat widget to my website?
- Copy the widget code and paste it just before the closing body tag of your site. On WordPress, Shopify, Wix or Webflow, use the custom code or footer scripts section. The widget is one self-contained snippet that makes no outside requests.
- What are quick topics?
- They are buttons inside the widget, such as Pricing or Book a demo. When a visitor taps one, WhatsApp opens with that topic's message already typed, so you know what they want from the first message.
- What is a WhatsApp click-to-chat link?
- It is a wa.me link that opens a chat with your number in WhatsApp when someone taps it. You can add a pre-filled message so the customer only has to press send.
- Does the link work with the WhatsApp Business app and the Business API?
- Yes. A wa.me link opens a chat with any number registered on WhatsApp, including WhatsApp Business app numbers and numbers connected to the WhatsApp Business Platform.
- How do I format the phone number?
- Use the full international number: country code first, then the number, with no leading zeros. For example, a UAE mobile number is written 971501234567. The tool removes spaces, dashes and plus signs for you.
- Is the QR code free to use commercially?
- Yes. The QR code is generated in your browser, it never expires and you can print it anywhere. Test it with your phone before printing in bulk.
- Can I track which links bring in customers?
- A plain wa.me link does not report where a chat came from. With WatMark's website widget and Click-to-WhatsApp ad tracking, each chat is tied to the page or ad that started it.
